#READY2WORSHIP (Are You Ready?)

Today my wife asked me seconds after completing the 300 body weight work out if I would like a bacon cheese burger for lunch. Between gasping for air and chugging a glass of water I adamantly said "No, no way!" She made her point by saying "When we consistently eat healthy, exercise, and generally lead healthy lifestyles we become uninterested in things that are unhealthy, and outright harmful to us, things that hinder our progress. It's the same when experiencing a relationship with God through prayer, worship, and studying the bible. The more we experience God the more of God we desire in our lives. Spending quality time in the spiritual gym will cause us to be repulsed by anything and everything ungodly." Do you want more of God? Do you really want God to set a fire in your soul that you can't contain or control? If the answer is no I can assume it's because you are not experiencing much of God at all now, or else you would certainly crave more. Think like an athlete, and work out your salvation with fear and trembling. In other words, Go hard! Those who hunger and thirst after righteousness shall be filled.

1 Timothy 4:8 For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.

Considering the magnitude of God who created all things, and is all powerful, all knowing, all just, all holy, all pure, all merciful, and perfectly righteous should cause us to bow... To bow down on our knees in humility and repentance. Considering that this same God loves us radically,  emphatically, endlessly and unconditionally, and that He gave us all things through His son Jesus Christ so that through the blood of Jesus we can be forgiven and given new life, abundant life, everlasting life- well this should cause us to stand...To stand in awe and amazement, to stand with our arms up high, and our hearts opened wide saying with great gratitude "whatever you will Lord, let it be so in my life." There is a time to bow and a time to stand. The awesome thing is that often times bowing and standing can be a simultaneous act manifested by our total surrender to the will of God.

Ephesians 6:13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.

"Man has been my only constant source of conflict God has not"
                                                                            -Damion B. Sanders

Man can, and will leave you, forsake you, betray you, and forget you. God, will not. How odd is it that even knowing this we often still choose to put our faith in man, and not in God. Beloved, God knows your name. Maybe your teacher, pastor, bus driver, boss, customer, neighbor, crush, or idol doesn't, but God does. God loves you. You are not forgotten. Regardless of where you are in life today you can Smile knowing that the creator of the universe has you on His mind in this very moment. God is working all things out for your good and His glory.

Psalm 8:4 what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them?

God is great and worthy to be praised. Will you not lift up your voice and worship The Lord? Do you not have enough to give thanks for? To be grateful for? Has The Lord done a great thing in you? Lift your voice, lift your hands, sing from the depths of your soul, let you heart explode in thanksgiving. Remember if we do not, the stones will. Don't let the stones cry out.

Luke 19:40 "I tell you," he replied, "if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out."
