Do you want to see Jesus? A man name Zacchaeus (a tax collector) climbed a tree to see Jesus. As a result Jesus responded to the man's longing, and went to have dinner at Zacchaeus home. Do you want to hear Jesus? Nicodemus came in the middle of the night to hear from Jesus. As a result Nicodemus learned what it means to be born again. Do you want to touch Jesus? There was a woman who being sick made her way through a crowd of people to touch Jesus. As a result she was cured. Can we not long for Jesus in the same way? Too many of us question the whereabouts of Jesus when we are in no real way expressing a desire for His presence.

Psalm 37:4 Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.

One of the greatest values I find in worship songs like this is the conviction that comes as a result of considering the ideals it represents. Often times I dread singing a lyric that isn't consistent with who I am, or where I am in regards to my walk with God. Instead of letting the stones cry out, I worship and allow the holy spirit to spur me on, stirring up the faith within me to believe and dig deeper in my walk with The Lord; Resolving to apply the lyric sung long after the song is over. Oh how I desire for The Lord to be my all in all. That I would not be so easily moved by temporal things. That I would not crave the acceptance, and praise of man, nor fear their rejection, but that God would be my all in all. Only God is worthy, yet we still divide our time, treasure, talent, attention, affection, faith, praise, and desires among many other people places and things everyday. What a robbery this is, an unimaginable crime to give to others what belongs only to God. My prayer is that we would be free from this oppression. That all else would become to us as nothing so that Christ would become our all in all. That we ourselves would become as nothing, so that Christ in us would become everything. Jesus, lamb of God. Worthy is your name.

Psalm 84:10 Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked.

I prayerfully look forward to the day when we as a church embrace this paramount principle. Until then, we will know nothing of the christian life, nothing of Jesus, nothing of the character of God. Nothing.

Matthew 16:25 For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it.

May our love for God be as unconditional as His love is for us. Let us not be shaken by storms, and trials of various kinds to the point of neglecting to give praise to the only one who is deserving. Instead let us sing all the more louder, lift our hands all the more higher, and bend our knees all the more frequently when life becomes all the more unbearable. In every season God is worthy of the praise. His worthiness is not circumstantial, and thankfully neither is His love for us. He is forever faithful, always able, and we are never without reason to sing His praises. Sing out church, sing loud, sing from the depths of your soul! Let your voice, and heart's cry reach the throne of God today.

Acts 16:24-26 When he received these orders, he put them in the inner cell and fastened their feet in the stocks. About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everyone's chains came loose.
