"HOLY SPIRIT YOU ARE WELCOME HERE" CLICK HERE FOR LYRICS

The bible says that Jesus did not do many mighty works in his hometown because of their unbelief. Jesus, the son of God. The Christ. The one who healed the sick, walked on water, and raised the dead did not many miracles in his hometown because of their unbelief. His presence was not welcome, and as a result the people did not experience the supernatural freedom, salvation, healing, deliverance, restoration, reconciliation, peace, power, provision that Christ freely offers to all who believe.  John 13:58 And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.

The bible also documents a story of when Jesus (A Jew) spoke to a Samaritan woman at a well. Against the odds of racial, cultural tensions, and division between the Jews and Samaritans the woman (even if reluctantly at first) welcomed his company, considered and believed the words of Jesus the Christ.  His presence was welcome there (they urged him to stay and He did for two days), as a result many people in that town experienced the super natural freedom, salvation, healing, deliverance, restoration, reconciliation, peace, power, and provision Christ offers to all who believe. John 4:39-32  Many of the Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the woman’s testimony, “He told me everything I ever did.” So when the Samaritans came to him, they urged him to stay with them, and he stayed two days. And because of his words many more became believers. They said to the woman, “We no longer believe just because of what you said; now we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this man really is the Savior of the world.”

Is Jesus Christ welcome in your life?

REVELATION 3:20 20BEHOLD, I STAND AT THE DOOR, AND KNOCK: IF ANY MAN HEAR MY VOICE, AND OPEN THE DOOR, I WILL COME IN TO HIM, AND WILL SUP WITH HIM, AND HE WITH ME.

"I Surrender" CLICK HERE FOR LYRICS

verb  sur·ren·der \sə-ˈren-dər\

Simple Definition of surrender

  • : to agree to stop fighting, hiding, resisting, etc., because you know that you will not win or succeed

  • : to give the control or use of (something) to someone else

  • : to allow something to influence or control you
  • Why are you running from God? Men run as fast and far and as hard as they possibly can only to grow weary and faint beneath the inesacapable shadow of God. Why are you hiding from God? There isn't a closet on earth that God has not considered it's every nook, cranny, and crevice examining both the person and possessions within it. Why are you fighting God? Like infants screaming, crying, and swinging every limb in a vicious tantrum while the father in all his strength, power and authority watches and waits for the child to wear himself out at which point the father will carry him like a doll to whatever destination the father desires. We are no match for God, how foolish and arrogant is anyone who thinks otherwise. Jonah ran from God, Adam hid from God, Jacob wrestled with God and in the end each of these men surrendered to God.

Galatians 2:20 "I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.

"Good Good Father" CLICK HERE FOR LYRICS

How has God been a good good father to you? Our earlthy fathers are fallible, but our heavenly father is perfect in all his ways. So many of our society's ills stem from the lack of good fathers in our homes, and communities. The beginning of the second verse in this song says "I've seen many searching for answers far and wide/ but I know that we're all searching for answers only you provide" The father plays such a significant role in this world, it's no wonder God chose this position and relationship to describe who he is, and who we are in light of who he is. Have you submitted to God our heavenly father as a child does to his earthly father? We have a father who holds us acountable, who loves us, disciplines us, protects, and provides for us, a father who leads and guides us, and who know far more than we ever will. Abba father (Daddy) is a term in the scripture reffering to our Lord, it conveys an intimacy shared only in a healthy father and child relationship. He is our father, and we are his children. Our God is a good good father.

1 JOHN 3:1 - BEHOLD, WHAT MANNER OF LOVE THE FATHER HATH BESTOWED UPON US, THAT WE SHOULD BE CALLED THE SONS OF GOD: THEREFORE THE WORLD KNOWETH US NOT, BECAUSE IT KNEW HIM NOT.

"This Is Amazing Grace" CLICK HERE FOR LYRICS

I met a guy the other day at a pizzeria and struck up a conversation about God, and religion. His misinformed stance as many others share is that all religion is essentially the same. He told me about how he studied many different religions and came to this conclusion. The joy, and excitement that hearing this produced in me cannot be translated into writing. My laptop is not capable of harboring such a joy! Why did hearing this excite me? Because his opinion revealed to me that in all his studies he missed the most important principle of the Christian faith. Something so radical, so unfathomable, so unlike man, and light years removed from any and every man made religion, something far too lofty for even the wisest scholars in the world to explain away. Something that no other religion can offer or claim. That something is the principle of eternal salvation by GRACE through FAITH in the life, death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ- God IN THE FLESH. Immanuel- God with us, not only with us, but dying for us even when we were still enemies of God is an amazing, amazing grace.

Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
